Our
History

AutoTec, a privately held business in Birmingham, AL., traces its history back to the late 1800's when the company's earliest business included selling insurance, financial guaranty bonds, real estate, and typewriters.

In 1953, at the request of leading auction owners, Tom Adams, Sr. pioneered a unique insurance program designed to meet the needs of the auction industry, commonly known as Payment and Title Guaranty Insurance.

Since that time, AutoTec has continued to evolve, now providing insurance, credentialing, vehicle history and claims administration services for the automotive industry. AutoTec and its team members are committed to providing innovative solutions and high level customer service for our partners in the automotive industry.
